The big event is finally here, and now you need to let your customers through the gates. Sellout has a slick interface for doing just that.

To access the ticket scanner, first navigate to Events on the left hand navigation of Sellout backstage (top of the screen for mobile). Click the event you would like to start scanning tickets for.

Directly under the event poster on the left hand side of the screen (top of the screen for mobile) there are three options: Sell, Comp, and Scan.

Click the Scan button to enter Sellout's Access Control module.

A new window will pop up, and your browser will prompt you to gain access to your device's onboard camera system. Click "allow" to use your camera to scan QR codes.

In the Access Control module, you'll see the poster for your event, and then under it you will see 4 navigational icons. From left to right, these icons are Code Scan, List, Stats, History.

Let's go through each navigational item:

Scan

The scan icon allows you to put customer's QR codes in front of your device's camera and instantly pull up their order. This screen will show a live feed of your camera, a target area to aim the QR code for, and a display showing how many tickets have been checked in already, and how many are left.

Put a QR code in front of the camera to pull up that order. Once the order is pulled up, you'll be asked to check in specific items from that order. Once you have selected the items to check in, press the orange "Check In" button at the bottom of the screen.

This will return you to the camera, and a small green bar will appear at the bottom of the screen to confirm that those items have been checked in.

Sometimes customers may have multiple tickets to an event, but are only checking in some of those tickets at the gate, and will check in others later. You can select how many tickets to check in at a time by using the + and - buttons.

List

You can instantly pull up a list of customers for this event at any time by clicking this icon. If you are looking for a customer, you can type in their name or contact details to filter the list to just them. Once a customer has been checked in, the checkmark next to their name will turn yellow or green to represent that they are partially or fully checked in.

This can be a great option to run a contactless will call line at your event where customers don't need to receive a physical ticket.

Stats

View a real time graph showing the amount of tickets and upgrades checked in over time to your event. This gives you an up to date idea of how many people are in your venue, and what the highest inflow times were for your event.

History

See an up to date history of all check ins at all gates.
