Sellout has a suite of box office tools to allow promoters/event organizers to sell tickets to their events at the gate or over the phone across any device, and even using a credit card reader on location.
In order to start selling tickets, first click Events on the left side navigation, then navigate to the event that you'd like to sell ticket to and click that event.
You will see on the left hand side of the screen, directly under the event poster image, three box office options: Sell, Comp, and Scan.
Click Sell to fire up the sales process.
Step 1: Select tickets
This will immediately pop up a sales portal where you will be prompted to select which tickets you would like to sell. Click the plus button on the tickets you are selling to select the proper quantity.
Step 2: Select upgrades
Choose which, if any, upgrades to add to an order. When selling through box office mode, you will be able to select any upgrade even if it is hidden or regularly required to be sold with a specific ticket type.
Step 3: Choose delivery method
The delivery method is how the customer will receive their tickets/confirmation after purchase. The fastest way will be through text message.
Text message (recommended): Customer will immediately receive a text with their ticket barcode inside.
Email: Customer will immediately receive an email with their ticket barcode inside.
Step 4: Contact info
Enter the customer's contact info (email or mobile phone) and if the customer is new to Sellout, you will be asked to confirm their contact information a second time just to ensure that it gets delivered to the correct location. If the customer does exist, their name and information will pop up.
Step 5: Confirmation
Check all items and pricing and confirm the order for your customer.
Step 6: Choose a payment method
Sellout offers 3 payment methods:
Credit card reader - You must have a Verifone P400 credit card reader to take credit card payments in person. If you do not have one, please order through this link.
Manual card entry - You can take credit cards either over the phone or in person by manually entering them with this option.
Cash - If the customer would prefer to pay in cash, Sellout will calculate the proper change to give them by using this option.
Step 7: Order complete
After payment is entered, the customer should receive their tickets within 10-20 seconds via the delivery method you selected earlier. This ticket can instantly be scanned and get the customer through the gates.
