Advanced options is the final tab of the event creator, where you can enable some specialized additional features for your event. Here's a list of those available options:

Additional Fees

Additional fees can be added on top of Sellout's fees (which you can see on our pricing page) to the customer's checkout. These additional fees are for you, and will be automatically added to your balance when a customer checks out.

This is handy feature if you need to add a venue fee, a cleaning fee, or some other type of minimal extra expense that you don't want to be factored into the ticket pricing, but separated.

To add an additional fee move the additional fee toggle to the "Yes" position, and then click the "Add additional fee" text below. This will enable a popup with some fields:

Fee name

Enter a name for the fee for your own reference. This fee name will not be displayed to customers, it's just for filing/reporting purposes.

Fee type

Fixed - This adds a fixed dollar amount to the total fees paid by the customer

Percentage - This adds a percentage based amount to the total fees paid by the customer

Price/Percentage

Enter the amount that the fee will cost in addition to Sellout's platform fees.

Survey Questions

Want to collect additional information from your customers when they check out? Perhaps you'd like their physical address, or are curious to know what their favorite genre of music is. That's why we built Survey Questions, an awesome tool to learn more about the people buying tickets from you.

To add a Survey Question move the toggle to the "Yes" position, and then click the "Add survey question" text below. This will enable a popup with some fields:

Question

Enter the question you are asking the customer in the way that you would like it to be phrased when they see it.

Example: If you want to collect a customer's physical address, enter 'What is your physical address?' in this box.

Answer type

Choose between a variety of answer types that will determine what a customer can input when they answer the question.

Number - Select this option if you would like the customer to answer using only numerals.

If you select numbers, you will also be able to determine a min/max value of those numbers.

Text - Select this option if you would like the customer to answer using any/all characters on the keyboard.

If you select text, you will also be able to determine a min/max length of the characters.

Address - Select this option if you would like the customer to answer with a geocoded location.

Dropdown - Select this option if you would like the customer to answer with a selection of predetermined options that you create.

If you select dropdown, you will also have to create at least two options for a customer to pick from.

Required?

Is this survey question required for a customer to check out? We don't recommend that you use this very often, because any friction in the checkout experience will result in lower conversion rates for you.

Consent Waivers

If you need your customers to agree to a waiver before checking out, you can use the consent waiver option to enable a custom waiver that must be consented to during checkout.

To enable a Consent Waiver, flip the toggle to the "Yes" position, then paste the text of your waiver into the dialogue box that appears. That's all you need to do. Customers will all see your waiver text and be required to agree to it before completing checkout.
